The first step of getting a skin in Minecraft is finding the Minecraft Java Edition skin that you want. Luckily, we have a link to a website with hundreds of thousands of Minecraft skins for PC in the description above. There, you will be able to find any Minecraft 1.17 skin that you want. We even show you how to properly download a Minecraft skin as the download button can be hard to find. It is actually the little grey download button on the right-hand sidebar of the page.
When you click that button your skin for Minecraft 1.17 will download. You may need to keep or save the file, but since this is a simple .png file, that isn’t usually the case. After that, it is important to move the skin to your desktop to make it easier to find when adding it to Minecraft. Most likely, the Minecraft PC Skin is in your downloads folder. Go there and drag it to your desktop. This is covered in the video, but it will make adding your skin to Minecraft easier.
After you skin is downloaded, we can actually show you how to change your skin in Minecraft 1.17 on PC. To do this, open up the Minecraft launcher. Here, you can add a name to your skin, choose your player model, and actually install the skin in Minecraft 1.17 by clicking the ‘Browse’ button. Finally, select the skin from your desktop, and save it by clicking the save button.
To add your skin to your player in Minecraft 1.17 is really easy. Hover over the skin you added and click ‘Use’. You will then see the skin activate on the player on the left side of the launcher. You can preview skins here and easily switch between skins in the skins menu as well! Now, go play Minecraft 1.17 like you normally would, and your skin will be there!
