About this video: In this video, we show you how to download and install the Minecraft minimap mod known as VoxelMap in Minecraft 1.17. This minimap mod will actually allow you to open up a full map in Minecraft 1.17 as well making it super easy to view your world and builds from a top-down view. This can make exploring easier, and overall make Minecraft 1.17 more fun. So, without anymore delay, here is how to install VoxelMap 1.17 in Minecraft!
The first step of getting VoxelMap for Minecraft 1.17 is actually downloading and install the Fabric Mod Loader. You can find a link to the Fabric Mod Loader in the description above. We go in-depth with how to get Fabric in the video showing you every single step of setting up the Fabric Mod Loader for VoxelMap 1.17!
Now, we can move on to learning how to download VoxelMap for 1.17. You can find the Minecraft minimap download link in the description above. That will actually take you to our text tutorial for installing a Minecraft minimap. When you are there, scroll down and click the ‘Download VoxelMap’ button. You will be taken to the official Voxel Minecraft minimap download page. Here, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.17’ section. Under this, you will see a ‘VoxelMap for Fabric 1.17’ download. Click the orange button to the right of this download, and VoxelMap will start downloading for Minecraft 1.17. You will need to keep/save the file depending on your browser.
Once you have VoxelMap downloaded, we can move on to installing VoxelMap for Minecraft 1.17. To do this, press the Windows Key and ‘R’ at the same time on your keyboard. The Run app will open up. In the Run app, type %appdata%, and hit enter. You will be taken to your Roaming folder. In this folder, you will see a .minecraft folder. Open that, and you should see a ‘mods’ folder. If you don't, just create one!
Finally, to install Voxel minimap in Minecraft 1.17, just drag-and-drop the VoxelMap mod you downloaded into this mods folder. You have now installed VoxelMap in Minecraft 1.17!
You aren’t complete finished yet. You still need to open up the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next to the play button, select the ‘Fabric 1.17’ installation here, and click Play. Click Play again, and Minecraft will open up with a minimap installed in 1.17!
