How to Install Missing Photos Gallery App on Phone (Android Tutorial)
0If you're an Android user and you find that the default "Gallery" or "Photos" app is missing from your phone, don't worry. This can happen if the app was accidentally uninstalled, disabled, or if you're using a phone that doesn't come with a pre-installed gallery app (some phones, like Google Pixels, rely on Google Photos as the primary viewer).
Here's how to get a photos app back on your phone and access your pictures.
Step 1: Check for the Default App
Before you install a new app, first check if the default one is just hidden.
Open your App Drawer: Swipe up from the bottom of your home screen to see all your installed apps.
Use the search bar: At the top of the app drawer, there is usually a search bar. Type in "Gallery" or "Photos" to see if the app is on your phone but just not on your home screen.
Check for disabled apps: Go to Settings Apps See all apps. Scroll through the list and see if your gallery app is there but listed as "Disabled" or "Turned off." If so, tap on it and select "Enable" to restore it.
