Welcome to "How to Play Genesis Alpha One", episode 12: Endgame, where a GAO veteran player wi8ll show you the way! We will board a shipwreck, a rogue ship, and do ANOTHER genesis. You can consider this both a playthrough and a strategy guide (i.e. tips and tactics). I am on a PC, but all of this should also apply to other versions.

CREW WEAPONS: The crew can only use six weapons TOTAL, no matter how many you unlock: the default weapon for your corp (usually laser pistol), shotgun, rifle SA1, minigun, machine gun (MG), and miniflak if you unlock it. Only crew of rank of lieutenant or higher can change weapons.
Decided to raid another shipwreck with multiple levels and has turbolift. (Hey, it looks like a Constitution-class!) Advanced slowly, so you trigger only one group of enemies at a time. Use minimal shots per kill. You get a bullet loot every 12 kills for your current weapon.
Another rogue ship challenged us, but we took down his shields. We scanned him. A Fremen ship with 3 module upgrades and one artifact site (probably the captain himself). Plus some misc loot.
I materialized on... The bridge?!?! Dropped 3 turrets and managed to clear it. Found the security gate closed... And they were able to deploy a barrier from the other side of the gate? Somehow they got me squeezed between a barrier and the wall and somehow pinned me in place as I opened the gate, and I died.
I took over my next avatar, and beamed back in, killed the folks at the gate, went into the next section, cleared the workshop (have to go up multiple levels), then slowly explored the corridors. Seems they are concentrated at the hangar and workshop area. But I have turrets that got them pinned. Then finally entered the hangar, and killed the captain. There should be like 4-5 guys left holed up in... alien research.
Decided to head back and resupply. I STILL haven't found enough pieces for Turret II, so I am still using Turret I. I did recover enough DNA for Human II, so did get that researched. And apparently, all crew, including myself, got upgraded for free. That means instead of 100 hp, I now have 150 hp. I have 2 suit bonuses that add 20%, so I now have 180 hp.
I decided to go back to the ship where I killed the rogue captain. However, if you leave the sector, somehow the enemy comes back. At least it's a different type now, but no less annoying. I ran out of ammo, so I deployed a couple barriers and a turret to cover me and went back to the ship. Resupplied, and went back... all the barriers and turrets I left are gone. ARGH! I just took the last turret on the rack, and that means I need to tell the workshop to make more. It also means I'm short on gunpowder again, as it takes 3 units of gunpowder to make a turret. And to make a full rack you're talking at least 24, if not 30.
ROBOTNIK BUG: I returned to my ship, only to find that nothing is moving. Somehow the robots have stopped moving stuff to the refinery, so no gunpowder is being made. Previously, this happened when a Robotnik was pushed off its path and gotten STUCK. However, this is not the case here. Check the map for the status of the robots doesn't seem they are stuck, just not moving. Adding and deleting the extra deposit did not help. It seems the ONLY way to fix this is to delete the refinery and rebuild it, and I'm not ready to do that, due to the refinery having a TON of leven the good lichen around. ARGH!
I am getting a bit bored anyway. So it's time to head toward the other O2 genesis candidate planet and make planetfall.
The process is the same as before, and indeed, these are the same tunnels. Advance and shoot small critters, go toward where they come from. When you seem stuck, deploy a turret then use mining tool to break the barrier. Repeat until you located the long downslope tunnel. Drop turrets at mouth of tunnel, plus the barriers. Then get the queen's attention, then shoot the golden sacks off its back. And that's it.
This time, got the rank of "Commodore", which is good!
