How to Turn Off Home Screen in After Effects CC (Disable After Effects Home Page)
6The After Effects CC home screen can be disabled through the preferences menu. Once you turn off the home screen you will need to restart After Effects for the changes to take place. With the home screen removed whenever you open After Effects, you will be met with a blank project. If you are constantly using After Effects for new tasks then disabling the home page will remove an extra step whenever you plan on making a new project.
If you ever want to enable the home screen again it can be done through the same preferences menu. Also resettings the After Effects presets will bring the home page back. On the After effects home screen you will usually see the recent project files, making it easier to reopen a previous project. If you like this feature you may want to keep the After Effects home screen enabled. Alternatively, the After Effects file menu allows you to select recent files and saved projects.
