Last Scenario is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. A rather typical kind of rpg, but with enough twists and an interesting story to make the journey well worth taking.

The latest version of the game can always be found here:

Time to explore the fabled Black Mausoleum, the final post game dungeon of this game.

As you'd probably expect, the enemies aren't to be taken lightly. They can hit quite hard physically. So much so that anyone with low vitality like my Ethan & Lorenza may need a casting of X-Shield tossed their way to avoid them getting two shotted. Other than that, they're rather tanky enemies, but drop lots of gold & experience. If you wanted to grind to 99, this is the best place to do so.

The first half of the Mausoleum isn't much of anything special besides being a bit lengthy in its duration. Having a copy of Enlight on everyone so you can break out its crisis ability would be a good idea here to minimize mp item usage. Cleanse's crisis ability works nicely too.

The first half doesn't have too much in the way of items at first. Just a Key Tablet III & Purple Herb to the east at the first fork in the road. However, when you hit the first save point, that's where some useful things begin cropping up.

What isn't useful though is the pair of barriers by the save point. They require going down one of the two staircases, finding a mini boss at the end (Black Rook down the western staircase, Black Queen down the eastern staircase), and killing them. Neither boss is worth talking about as their choice of skills is pretty bad despite good offensive scores.

As for the items down the staircases, there's a bunch of stat boosting capsules in chests and a few unique items. The Black Rook drops the final character tile, Ethan (trades in for 15 Dexterity Capsules), the Black Queen drops Dark Matter (Thorve's best weapon), and two other chests contain a Warding Charm & Unholy Mitre.

The Unholy Mitre is a helmet that gives a pretty solid boost to all stats except luck. However, it makes all healing items & spells damage the user, even out of battle. Not sure if this also applies to offensive spells with an element he/she absorbs. Going to have to test this out later.

More next time!
