Last Scenario is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. A rather typical kind of rpg, but with enough twists and an interesting story to make the journey well worth taking.

The latest version of the game can always be found here:

More sidequest funsies today, but it'll be all bosses that are fought in this video.

First up is a return to Cromwell Ruins to open the last chest there. Much like with the ornate chest in the basement of Condor's castle, there's a boss inside, the Demilich.

Demilich doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as the possessed Saraswati, but it makes up for this with some annoying ailments that are best nullified with equipment. Its normal attack can inflict poison, Gorgon Curse does some decent damage to the whole party and inflicts petrify, and Sinkhole hits a single target for a decent chunk of damage and I believe tries to inflict instant death. The sole non ailment related attack is Dark Motive, its strongest attack which hits everyone for 700-800 with a M-Shield buff active.

Demilich has 66666 hp to its name, absorbs dark, resists fire & ice, and is weak to light.

Despite the fact only Hilbert is quicker than the boss, nothing it can do will flat out one hit kill anyone, even without shields active.

As for damage.....66666 hp seems like quite a bit to chew through, but that light weakness means Matilda & Lorenza can do close to 10k damage a turn. Add in Ethan to the mix and it goes even higher.

The boss's steal is a Moon Crest, an accessory that absorbs dark damage, while the drop is the Thanatos tile.

After the battle, there's a cutscene showing a young Ethan & Castor promising to work together to become strong and protect the town as well as come to each other's aid if they ever get into big trouble.

Before leaving, there's the matter of the item from the ornate chest itself. It's Ethan's best weapon, the Ragnarok.

Next stop is a pretty important one, the Gate to Elysium. If you've forgotten where it is, it's on the west central most part of the world map. With all the keys from the towers collected, the front gate opens.

There's no puzzles, random battles, or complex hallways in the area. There's only boss battles. Four of them to be precise. The first one you run into? None other than one of Alexander's closest allies, Xolon.

Like with the rest of the people here, all with close ties to Alexander, they all have committed terrible sins, but only defeating them in combat will set their souls free.

Xolon is a straight up physical brute. His only ailment inflicting skill is Howling Wolf which does ~1200-1300 to the whole party and inflicts berserk.

The rest of his kit though? Pure physical force. Great Cut is oddly weak as hell because his normal attack hits much much harder than it. So much so that you basically need a P-Shield up or its going to one hit kill whomever it targets. To drive this in even further, he's got a stronger single target physical called Ravaging Blow. Even with a P-Shield up, it nailed Matilda for almost 1900 damage.

Xolon has less hp than the Demilich at 60k hp, but has no weaknesses. He is much slower than it though so everyone sans Matilda can act before him.

Not much to say about how to deal with this titan. Get shields up quickly, then pound him into the ground with your strongest attacks. Lorenza gets to utilize her Vortex spellcard for some serious damage. 400+ damage a hit doesn't sound like much and it's common to see a hit or two miss, but this spell does fifteen hits.

Xolon has a Healing Orb up for stealing and drops a Warding Charm, the last I need to ensure full status protection for the whole party.

After the battle, he disappears and the door behind him unlocks. It leads to a hallway, then a save point, then another hallway, then the altar with the next of Alexander's entourage, Lucius.

Lucius is the magical counterpart to Xolon's physical might. However, that means he's the easiest boss here because you can equip the right gear to resist or nullify his two elemental attacks, Shock (single target, thunder elemental, quite powerful) and Cracked Earth (AoE earth elemental attack).

His only other skill is Tranquility. The damage isn't super high, but it can inflict sleep and, as I found out here, silence. You'll need sleep protection at a bare minimum since he has no physical attacks to speak of.

Lucius has neutral resists once again, but his hp total is 90k.

Not much needs to be said here either. Hilbert & Ethan outspeed Lucius so keeping up with healing is no issue. Hilbert does get to join Zawu on the list of heroes that got a zappy death though.

Lucius has a Soul Elixir to steal and drops Lorenza's "ultimate" weapon, the Neomancer. Ultimate is in quotations because it doesn't have the int boost of the Divine Staff.

While I could probably try to take on the third boss here, I'm gonna go knock out another optional dungeon first so stay tuned.
