If you’re looking at the title of this video with mild confusion, be assured that all will become clear as you watch it. Even without context however, the statement that adventurers are the worst alarm clock ever does have merit, for they often delve into long forgotten places and rouse horrifying monsters from their slumber. Sometimes they do so on purpose, setting out to rid the world of a threat that may soon wake and very rarely they’re seeking advice from a benevolent or more likely entirely neutral being that has knowledge they need to save the world. More often than not however, they’re doing something else completely unrelated to the horrible monster that’s resting there and accidentally wake it up or free it.

Most of the time the thing that has been freed or awoken isn’t too happy about it and will try to kill the adventurers there and then. If the adventurers are PCs, chances are they’ll be victorious over the sudden enemy, whereas if they’re NPCs it’s more likely the party will be all-but wiped out and the terrible creature free once more. Only the more shrewd ancient evils will choose not to reveal themselves right away, biding their time and working to their goals while the ones that can stop them are blissfully unaware of the doom they’ve wrought.

You may still wonder what this has to do with the video you’re about to watch. As I said before, all will become clear.
