The further you get into this game, the more the game has devious traps intent on catching you unaware. They’re often placed in bottlenecks where there’s little room for you to dodge, forcing you to react quickly to defeat the enemies that sometimes appear out of thin air. The other kind of trap uses teleporters or lifts, placing you in the middle of an arena surrounded by opponents with little to no warning. Then there are the more mean ones that have crushing ceilings or damaging floors appearing with no easy way to avoid them.

Even if you’ve memorised where these traps are, that’s only half the battle. You still need to overcome them which is far easier said than done. The reward is often worth it however, as you’ll often need to set them off to get a key or to a switch you need to press. Sometimes there are goodies waiting for you in the area where the monsters came from, though that’s not always the case. You’ll fall victim to traps at some point in the game and though they can be frustrating, don’t lose hope; after a few attempts you’ll get past them and move on to the next trap.
