Let's Play Crash Bandicoot 2 - Part 2: Three Levels, Three Biomes
Time to make some real progress now, with levels 2, 3, and 4. Level 2, Snow Go, is exactly what it sounds like: a snow/ice level. There are penguins, seals...and things trying to crush you. Oh, and of course, there are the obligatory ice physics, which are even worse in this game than most, but fortunately, don't show up in most of the level (walking on just the snow isn't slippery). Level 3, Hang Eight, is the first of the river levels, probably one of my favorite themes (and with pretty good music, too). We jump across platforms of solid rock, platforms that bob out of the water and back in, and hippos that sink into the water after you step on them; we travel by walking, jumping, and jet-ski; we avoid leaping fish, carnivorous plants, and mines. Then there's level 4: The Pits. It's mostly the same as level 1, but longer, a little more difficult, and not rainy.
