We're on to World 7, the final area of the game (aside from the Lost World). It's kind of an oddball; instead of having 5 or 6 stages and a boss, it has only one stage before the boss. The stage in question is Screech's Sprint...and it's one of the most annoying levels in the game. The first part isn't bad, but the second...! It's another bramble-themed one, with a more autumn-esque palette. The level is short, and the first half of it is mostly standard bramble stage fare. After the halfway point, however, you transform into Squawks and have a race with Screech, a vulture who only appears in this stage (thank goodness). You have to race him to the finish line, you die if you don't win, there are Zingers all over the place, and yes, you're still in the brambles, so don't touch the walls, 'kay? Screech can fly right through the Zingers, while you often have to take them out with Squawks's egg attack. Also, since it's a race, you have to fly as fast as possible, meaning you're more likely to mess up. Thanks to that race, I hate this stage and am not sorry that I won't be going back to it. I actually canceled my first recording of this level because it took me over 20 minutes to get through because I died so many times in the race with Screech. I didn't think watching the same level for that long would be very interesting, so I just tried again until I got one that was a reasonable length. I guess you could call this stage 7-1, even though it's the only non-boss level here.
