Let's Play Crash Bandicoot 2 - Part 9: Bears and Tigers and More Bears, Oh My!
We prepare to finish the third warp room, starting with level 15: Un-Bearable. It's another chase level, but this time, instead of running away from snowballs, you run away from HUGE polar bears! And speaking of polar bears, the last portion of the level also involves riding one: Polar, the same cute little polar bear cub that we saw in levels 8 and 13. The hardest part about this level isn't the obstacles or the speed that Polar runs...it's the fact that the level has not one but TWO secret entrances hidden in places you probably wouldn't think to look. (Want to get the gem in this level? Want to access the first secret level? Good luck with either...) Beyond that, it's not terribly difficult once you get used to it; heck, it doesn't even have boxes in awkward places at the end like levels 5 and 9 did.
"Not terribly difficult once you get used to it" also describes the game's third boss, Tiny Tiger. The boss arena consists of nine platforms arranged in a 3x3 fashion, and Tiny always tries to jump onto whichever platform you are currently on. At intervals, some of the platforms will start turning red, which is your cue to lure Tiny onto them so that he falls into the abyss. This repeats three times, getting harder each time.
Three warp rooms down, the plot is thickening, and the levels are only becoming harder...
