In level 13 (Bear Down), we find Polar waiting for Crash again. This one has one new enemy type and a secret area at the end, but it otherwise pretty much goes the same way as the previous bear-riding episode did. Next up is a completely new level theme, though: ruins. Level 14 is called "Road to Ruin", and it takes place in what are basically dark ruins at night. The ruins levels are cool, but they have a tendency to make you do tricky jumps...not so much along the regular route of level 14, though. This one has a second gem along a death route, and needless to say, the death route is definitely harder than the standard path.
