Let's Play Donkey Kong Country 2 - Part 7: Brambles and Brawn
1We finish off Krem Quay with the last regular stage in the World 3 boss. This regular stage is 3-6: Bramble Blast. The bramble stages are rather infamous, but pretty much everyone agrees that the music in them is amazing. I don't think this level is that bad, though. Time-consuming, maybe; hard, no. It is set in a bramble thicket, where touching any brambles that aren't covered up by wooden platforms damages you. This level is also full of barrels, mostly arranged diagonally, and you have to get through the level by shooting from one to another. The boss stage of Krem Quay is Kudgel's Kontest. Kudgel is simple enough once you know how to deal with him. He can shake the ground, so you have to jump right before he lands to prevent being stunned, and he'll clobber you with his club if you get too close to him at the wrong time. Beyond that, though, he just makes a series of jumps, then swings his club and drops a barrel of TNT that you have to throw at him. He's really a pretty easy boss.
That makes three worlds complete, with five left to go. Depending on my workload these next few weeks, it might be a while before I get enough time to record and upload the next set of videos, so...fair warning.
