Let’s Play HC Minecraft Take Three #02: Digging up Trouble

We may have a place to hide from the monsters and the beginnings of a farm, but it’s hardly a comfortable life the Avatar leads right now. We need a lot more resources if we’re going to make things better and that means doing half of the game’s namesake: mining. Deep within the earth are important and precious resources that’ll make our life far easier, but we only have enough torches and supplies to venture a little ways underground. That should be more than sufficient however to get us started, for we need only a little iron to forge far better tools and not too much coal to make a lot more torches.
We need to be exceptionally careful however, for there’s danger even a little ways into the caves we’ll be exploring. It’s at this early stage where we’re most vulnerable, for we lack strong weapons and armour. One creeper or horde of zombies is all it’d take to slay us right now, so caution must be our companion as we search for that which will shield us from the threats in the dark.
