If for some reason JC wasn’t able to blow up Area 51, then ruling with the Illuminati is the second best option for him. There may not be any cool explosions but he still gets to take out Bob Page in a somewhat more direct manner and then help Morgan rule the world as the Illuminati did for many centures. I say somewhat when referring to dealign with Page because the his protects him all of your weapons, as do the turrets which you can’t permanently destroy. If something were to happen to that force field however…

The Illuminati ending is the most involved of the three, as the things you need to deal with are scattered across all three floors. Most are in dangerous places where enemies can easily attack you or situated in the middle of an environmental hazard, giving you an incentive to stop the flow of reinforcements to make it simpler. It’s also the only one that you can achieve completely in sector four, eliminating the need to backtrack to the previous sector to complete the game. This ending also has an ominously well protected button just like the communication dark age one, so that’s something.
