Let’s Play HC Minecraft Take Three #04: Corralling the Animals

Our first mining trip was a huge success, giving us enough iron to fashion a near complete set of iron equipment. This will not only increase our survivability immeasurably, it allows us to more efficiently gather materials in the future. Better tools last longer gather quicker, freeing up inventory space which we’ll need for our next trip for more iron and hopefully more precious materials.
Though another mining trip is in our near future, it’s time to focus on an equally important objective: starting up our farm. A reliable supply of food is essential to long term survival and while we can subsist on the wheat that we’ve planted at the water’s edge, we can do a lot better than that. Unfortunately we can’t start a better farm until we’ve got a bucket which requires iron but we can corral the nearby animals into pens. Each one has their uses
