A playthrough of "Congo" (Map01) of Final Doom: The Plutonia Experiment for PC, played through GLBoom-plus. 100% kills, 100% secrets (Max-Kill).

Let's start out the hardest of the original 4 wad files with id Software's name stamped on it! For a first map, it's definitely the largest, and by far the toughest. Packing not one, but TWO Arch-Viles right off the bat, Plutonia already shows it's serious business.

Despite how large it feels, it's not all that long. It's mostly sprawled out. You can definitely feel the jungle theme here as the name implies, with all the brown brick and ivy growing. Detail is wonderful and nothing stands out as bad or out-of-place.

There isn't much else to say about this one, it's "Plutonia Standard", which is a phrase I'll be coining here. For Plutonia, it stands out as a bit of a rude awakening as to what you're really getting yourself into...
