A playthrough of "Caughtyard" (Map07) of Final Doom: The Plutonia Experiment for PC, played through GLBoom-plus. 100% kills, 100% secrets (Max-Kill).
This map is very short, so there isn't much to say. It's an original idea for a slaughter map based around the original concept of Doom 2's Map07, "Dead Simple." It's pulled off to very effective limits here, as well as a severe difficulty revamp.
Instead of it being open, it's more contained. This is a blessing in a way, yet at the same time you'll hate how the Revenants can carpet bomb you with no remorse. It also makes it difficult to get up to the top of the enclosure to mow them down and pick up the Yellow Key. At least it keeps the same simple concept... kill the Mancubi, kill the Arachnotrons, and then exit.
The map has a single secret, but it's a secret that you can, and will, miss. More so if you don't even know it's there. Walk up next to the exit but don't walk up inside of it, and then run back down the hallway you just traveled and the new opened wall is where the secret is. Just get it and smile, because this is about the only 'breather' map we'll see for a good while...
