Welcome back to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game originally made by Bethesda for the MS Dos. For this playthrough, we are using the Unity remake of the game and a lot of mods to enhance the experience. The game involves navigating the sensitive political landscape of the Illiac Bay, a region of Tamriel on the fictional planet of Nirn comprising of the countries within the bay as well as the various fragmented powers surrounding it on both High Rock and Hammerfell. We have been sent to the place on a mission by our Emperor Uriel Septim VII to investigate two curious instances, the shade of King Lysandus that roams the streets of Daggerfall at night and a letter that he sent to the Queen of Daggerfall a few years ago that never reached her. Despite being a dungeon crawler at heart, Daggerfall places a lot of emphasis upon the player's individual exploration as choosing one among the various political factions in the region as they navigate the complex mess that is the Illiac Bay. In this playthrough, we will be playing as a Spellcaster and will shift our focus towards the Mages' Guild and the Order of Arkay.

After his progress with the Emperor's mission, Strangeblood returns to Menevia to find his personal life in a mess when the Mages' Guild demotes him back to the rank of Journeyman. He must now perform some favours for them to climb back into their good graces and appease their spirits to avoid being further demoted.

In that regard, Strangeblood seeks to perform some favours for the Mages' Guild. And his first task is to cast a Sleep spell upon an unfortunate lord suffering from Sonambulism. They reportedly haven't slept for days at end.

In this pursuit, Strageblood heads over to Woodhall Manor and enters the Hawkhart Residence, but the lady in question turns hostile when Strageblood tries to put her to sleep. In that regard, Strangeblood went back to the Mage's guild to seek council and studied the sleep spell. It turns out that he had been causing flat damage to the lady's fatigue when he actually had to slowly fatigue her out with continuous damage to it. So he made a new Sleep spell and went back to work. When that was done, he went back to the lady who was now pacified and less hostile towards him. But he still could not put her into a state of slumber.

He finally remembered that he needed to use the spell as sold by the Mages Guild and realised that this mission was a part of a larger Ponzi scheme and gave in and bought the spell nonetheless. This time around, after many attempts, the lady fell asleep and Strangeblood could finally cash in his cheque to recuperate a small part of all the money he had spent on trying to get this woman to fall asleep.

He then asked for next task to prove his worth. This time around, the wanted him to gaurd the Mages' Guild against intruders for there was an important magical artifact in their possession that was desired by the thieves guild. He eliminated all the invaders, but as soon as he tried picking the shield up, the Mages blamed him of theft and he was forced to use the power of the Elder Scrolls to travel back to a time where he had done none of it. So he proceeded to eliminate the thieves once again and finally collected his reward from the Guild in the morning alongside the massive reputation boost that he was entitled to.

Here is how Strangeblood had a rough start resuming his life:
