Normal retry glitch doesn't do much in this Checkpoint, but you get some nice new effects using glitched Pause-menu.

0:08 - after having started the retry glitch with cinematic Pause-menu, the Chapter 2-6 intro cutscene begins anew, except nothing inside the Chinese restaurant is loaded. Then Max falls down while getting mangled by the effects of gravity in the process.

0:28 - After falling down for a while (the fall was edited to be shorter), you get the option to retry. Doing this causes the same thing to happen again, except Max starts falling down instantly and also dies upon hitting the invisible floor of Chapter 2, or so it looks like. Wonder why he didn't hit it on the first fall?

0:50 - the same thing keeps repeating every time you retry. So when you finally get tired of seeing Max die repeatedly in this unloaded environment, unpausing finally causes the next cutscene to start. However, all the level assets remain unloaded. Nice to see the flashy color and panel effects of the cutscene without any of the other graphics that should be there. You can also hear the Chinese restaurant music playing in the background, unlike normal.

2:07 - eventually the game realizes that something should be happening on screen and cuts away to Max inside the helicopter. But it doesn't mean that the cutscene still works properly, because in just a few seconds you are assaulted by hideous lag and weird banging sound effects (?) as Fabiana is being pushed through a closed helicopter door.

3:16 - miraculously the level still works after this whole charade and you can keep playing onward like usual, although Chapter 2-7 can start with some extraneous characters on the landing zone. On this attempt there was a single enemy without an A.I. in the middle of the firefight.

3:28 - another attempt at this retry glitch where I unpause before Max has died from the fall even once. The level assets are unloaded, but only for an instant, after which the cutscene continues perfectly normal.

3:58 - Until we get to the part where Fabiana is captured, where there is again weird lag and the banging sound effects, but even those effects are less dramatic than in the first version.

4:42 - on this attempt there were more extraneous characters on the landing zone, including an extraneous helicopter!

5:11 - to close things off, a pointless variation of the retry glitch where I unpause after Max has died from the fall. This causes the cutscene to play behind a black screen, and an inevitable softlock if you attempt to retry.
