Not much to really say about this stage because Ray Splasher nukes all the mobs in one use. The WE cost is a bit high, hence the reason I had purchased some Build WEs for X & Zero before the last boss fight.

That being said, there's a couple things of interest before talking about Magnet Man.

First, this stage introduces a classic MM staple, the disappearing & reappearing blocks. Since they're all over spikes, I shouldn't need to tell what happens if you decide not to jump and let a block disappear from under your feet. It does provide a good chance for me to show off the game over screen though.

Secondly, there's a few S-Tanks that don't seem to have an easy way to access. On the screen after that, you'll notice some items by a save point you have to access via killing some more enemies. After snagging the items, just go west to find a hidden ladder leading to those S-Tanks.

As for Magnet Man, his attacks aren't that much stronger than Neon Tiger's for the most part. There's one exception, but it's a very significant one. He has an attack where he surrounds himself with a blue aura (Kinda like how he utilizes his capabilities with magnets to pull you towards him in MM3), then gets healed for 500 hp.

The catch? That hp comes from both of your characters taking 250 damage a piece. This could be a nasty surprise given the relative damage of his other attacks. Good thing he used the attack when he did here because I had no idea of how much damage it did and one more attack besides that could have led to my first unplanned game over.

Anyways, after Ray Splasher spam knocks his lights out, the skill reward is Magnet Missile. Single target, effective against air types, costs 40 WE.

Next time, Blast Hornet.
