From the last part, we have learned from Quiet Robe that Samus has been lead to planet ZDR due to the machinations of a Mawkin Chozo named Raven Beak, who intends to utilize the E.M.M.Is to obtain the Metroid DNA that Samus has. Promising Quiet Robe that she will put a stop to Raven Beak, we continue on our journey to the surface of ZDR. Continuing on the path that Quiet Robe opened, we find ourselves face to face with another boss, Drogyga.

My first attempt with Drogyga goes about as well as you'd expect for a first timer. The second attempt though goes a lot smoother, though with a lot of poor aim at first. Beating Drogyga, we make it to an elevator that takes us up to the next area, Ghavoran.

Arriving at Ghavoran, we come across another Robot Chozo Soldier before coming across another E.M.M.I zone, entering the zone however we soon find the deactivated E.M.M.I giving us safe passage through.

Debriefing Adam at the network station in Ghavoran, he mentions how Samus even with all the suit upgrades gotten still won't stand a chance against Raven Beak, and furthermore why did Raven Beak spare Samus during their first encounter when all he really needed was the Metroid DNA from Samus.

Going further, we obtain the Super Missiles, which like in Fusion, upgrades the missiles rather than being a separate weapon from the normal missiles. With the upgraded firepower, we can now break open more door covers blocking our way.

We eventually make it to another Shuttle which takes us to another area, Elun. Arriving at the area, we find that it seems to have been isolated from the rest of the areas behind a massive shutter. There was a door past the shutter which opens up after a scan which doesn't bode well.

Exploring further, we come across an enemy and as the cutscene shows, it's an X, meaning Elun was where Raven Beak was isolating the X that made it to ZDR from SR388.

Fighting through the X infested area, we make it to another boss, a Chozo Soldier which upon taking it out reveals it to also be an X.

Exiting Elun, we find that the shutter keeping the X out of the rest of ZDR was opened, and they are now free to to infect everything in ZDR, including the deceased Quiet Robe. The X infected Quiet Robe goes ahead and reactivates the E.M.M.Is which means making our way further towards the surface has not changed from before, where we have to avoid the E.M.M.I while in their patrol zone.
