The last Elite member we have to face, Lance the dragonmaster! For a change, he doesn't use any Dragonairs (in general, you do not find any more unevolved Kanto Pokemon among the elites' rosters) and there's only a single Dragonite on his team.
This battle is the closest I've come to a Cloyster sweep and yet it is still longer than the rest.
Seadea is entirely reliant on special attacks and has no special defence to speak of, falling easy prey to Chansey, but we still take a while to beat her, as Hydro Pumps consistently land and we have to heal them off. Setting Stealth Rocks is necessary before moving on here, and I also use Reflect to make the next matchups easier.
Factoring in Stealth Rocks damage, Aerodactyl is still not quite OHKO'd by Rhydon's Rock Slide. Reflect being up causes it to attack with Hyper Beam instead of Earthquake, which would 2HKO Rhydon.
Gyarados is coming next and Waterfall makes it tough to deal with for our water-weak mons. Machamp can survive a Waterfall when there's no Reflect up and OHKO with Counter, but this is the best opportunity to set Cloyster up. I weaken Gyarados with Thunderpunch instead, and the paralysis proc is actually hurtful as Cloyster outspeeding it with Shell Smash next turn exposes it to Hyper Beam after its special defence self-debuff. Thankfully, it stays paralysed during this turn.
After a single Shell Smash and with Gyarados down to low health, it is a clean sweep. It is somewhat surprising that a full health Charizard would not die to a +2 super-effective Surf from a +sp. atk. Cloyster just a few levels below it, but this is the reason why Stealth Rock was used in the first place. Dragonite is similarly outsped and KO'd, this time without any need for extra Stealth Rock damage.
