R-Type Final 2 Stage 7.2 with Kaguya R-Typer

This series of ships is from irem's Image Fight. The Kaguya is an excellent ship with powerful weapons. The red weapon is a machine gun that fires straight ahead. The blue weapon covers the screen with blue lasers that fire starting from the top of the Force at a 45 degree angle to the bottom, firing five shots overall, providing excellent coverage. The yellow laser builds two rings while shooting, and releases them when you stop. The missiles are standard homing. The Bits are called Pods on the OF series, and they fire with you. The Green Pods change direction on movement, and fire in front and behind, adding a lot to your firepower. When you throw the Force, the Pods fire forward too.
This stage is the Bydo home world from R-Type Tactics. You get here by flying through subspace, represented in this game by stage 6.2. The Ebon Eye waits for you at the end. The most dangerous part of this stage is the afterburners on the crashed human ships, especially the first one. If you don't know where to park your ship, you're going to die. The second most dangerous part is the blue balls that float up and crash into the ceiling. I used the Kaguya's Pods to give me the extra firepower to destroy them while I flew past that part. It's made more difficult by the Bydo Wave that passes through while you're flying past, and the afterburner at the end that stops firing when you're almost through. Definitely a challenging part.
The Ebon Eye, or Obsidian Pupil as it's called in game, can be destroyed in a couple of ways. If it cooperates, you can fly your ship inside and upward to avoid the waves it fires at you. If it doesn't cooperate, you can throw your Force inside and hug the bottom left corner of the screen while shooting. The bottom left is a safe spot as long as you kill the Ebon Eye fast enough. You'll need a Force that shoots to make that work.
