R-Type Final 2 Stage X5.0 Swamp with Hyllos R-Typer

The Hyllos is a transformer ship that turns into a mech while the Force is attached and a regular ship while it's not. That said, it makes the mech's graphic is much larger than the ship's hitbox, and it can be difficult to see where you'll die as bullets and enemies will pass through the mech's legs. The ship itself is larger than a standard R-Type. I played this stage with the Hyllos as a throwback to my R-Type Final Ship Showcase Playlist, wherein I did stage 2.1 with the Neoptolemos.
The weapons on this ship are all close range while the Force is attached. The red weapon is a sword that swings horizontally and fires beams ahead of it. The blue weapon grinds in front of the Force and shoots lasers at 45 degree angles. The yellow weapon swings vertically up and down. While detached, the Force doesn't even shoot. The Shield Bits are great for extra defensive coverage. The Six Way Missiles are excellent for killing popcorn enemies and come from behind the mech when firing. The Wave Cannon is a homing lightning blast when the ship is in mech form and a standard blast when the Force is detached.
The Distorted Ecosystem stage is from R-Type Final, formerly called Twisted Ecology. In this stage, you come across doors that flash red and blue. If you shoot the red door, the stage will proceed to dry up, going from deep swamp to sunken swamp, and finally to desert. If you shoot the blue door, it turns into underwater, and then frozen underwater. In R-Type Final, you changed the entirety of the stage by shooting a red or blue peg on the boss, changing it for your next playthrough. One of the things that's nice in RTF2 is that when you go underwater, you can still easily see the sky as opposed to RTF1, where you would be completely submerged, making seeing what was above you difficult at best.
The boss is Negus O Shim, which was a hanging sack that fired bullets from its tentacles in R-Type Final, but in R-Type Final 2, it floats around and drops pods that fire bullets at you. Shooting its weak point can be difficult, as it's on the bottom of the boss, often facing away from you.
I practiced this stage in swamp form, but as I record more ships, will probably change the stage to desert and ice water for variety.
