Combat in Call of Pripyat is fast, brutal and unforgiving. The Enemy AI isn't ground-breaking or anything but humans and mutants alike have fast reflexes and tend to work quite effectively in groups, making most shoot-outs tense, tactical experiences. Getting hit not only means reduced health but can also result in bleeding and a broken armor. Fortunalety, the arsenal at the player's disposal is quite lethal and satisfying to use, and aside from the more advanced forms of weapon customization (of which there are many!) it's also easy to add silencers or scopes to weapons.
