3From the bridge of the Taras Shevchenko, I looked to the west toward the
Izumrudnoye and saw a three-man squad led by an Exoskeleton Loner spawn and walk towards me. He had enough money to buy two high-end rifles from me. They were going to the Circus Anomaly and to the north, the two-man squad I had met earlier at the boulder were leaving it and going to the Oakpine anomaly. I turned around and caught up with the three-man squad as we crossed across the great basin going south.
I got ahead of them and from the road I saw a lone SEVA suit Loner to the west but it was the one I had met earlier with zero rubles and a lot of junk guns and supplies. I'm surprised he has survived for so long. From there I went up the hill and towards the Oakpine anomaly. I was surprised to find it occupied by two Loners since the other two were headed that way. Then when I was talking to them and looking at their money and inventory, I realized it was the two I had met earlier going to it. When I got out of their range back at Izumrudnoye, they went off-line, and NPCs can travel very far and fast in off-line mode which explains how they got there before I did.
From there I kept going south and up the hills straight to the Iron Forest. A few dogs and shooting the Poltergeist until it exploded, and I was soon all alone. I picked up an artifact in the nearby electrical anomaly field and then went back to the underground Testing Workshop to see if I missed anything. I didn't but I did find a stash outside in the cab of the truck. I wasn't sure if I had found this one before and it's a good thing I checked to be sure.
From there down the road and eastward to the Circus anomaly where I was just in time to rescue a Bandit from mutant dogs but not his companion. Going north again with the daylight waning, it was time to go home to the Skadovsk. I detected and killed two Zombies at the Claw anomaly and then descended northward into the great basin, back to the Taras Shevchenko and then I met three Bandits standing between the two ships. I was back in the Skadovsk shortly and had done well to sell all the high-end weapons I had. I found the Bar full of new people with lots of money and now I had no weapons to sell them.
