SiN Gold w/ EAX & 3D spatial sound 🎧 (OpenAL Soft HRTF audio)

This is SiN Gold with OpenAL Soft's HRTF through DSOAL [IRC_1037 tables]. In an interesting twist from the standard fare, SiN Gold offers two different 3D positional audio modes: A3D and EAX. To use EAX 1.0, you need to rename or delete the a3dapi.dll in the game's directory and set s_checkeax to 1 in the config file. Once you activate EAX 1.0 mode, however, it will always be stuck in EAX 1.0 mode until you uninstall and reinstall the game.
The good news is that EAX mode plays the music and voices. The bad news is that EAX mode lacks elevation HRTF, which is very noticeable with the helicopters and the broken glass in the first level. Compare the 1st and 3rd timestamps in this video to the 1st and 4th in the A3D video. This is a quirk that also seems to be shared with the WON version of Half-Life 1. In terms of the EAX effects, they're terrible and only exacerbate the poor audio mixing. Fortunately, you can adjust the s_eax_reverblevel parameter to your liking, so set it to 0.15f for a less grating experience.
