Splatoon 3: Shooting inklings in a barrel in Nessie Splatfest [18(1)-1, Tentatek Splattershot]
Still all-Nessie, and I've switched to the Tentatek Splattershot. A brush on each of the other teams is worrying, though. I do some basic inking before moving to the centre, where I get an early assist. I chase the Sloshing Machine for no gain, and avoid a Hammer as the Signal appears. No one is going for it, so I waste a Triple Inkstrike anyway. The battle for the Signal hots up soon enough, and a Splat Bomb helps keep it safe for a moment. The Sloshing Machine tries to protect themselves with their own B-bomb, but it's not quite enough.
The Signal safe, I move around, inking turf, looking for targets, and get really lucky as a Hammer is picked up and thrown instead of stomping me. I catch the Sloshing Machine running out of ink, unlucky for them, and for some reason decide to try to splat the Inkbrush. I come off pretty well, considering. I'm still splatted, but so are they. The Signal remains safe, so I ink more turf on my return, before moving to protect it again. Another Splat Bomb helps there.
I catch the Octobrush before they can swipe me, pounce on the Sloshing Machine as they're busy splatting someone else, and survive another encounter with the Inkbrush. I throw Inkstrikes everywhere to keep the brush away, only to turn around to see the Octobrush. They make the mistake of grabbing the Signal before getting splats, ensuring their own, which they repeat almost immediately. By this point, the two teams are a bit too desperate to secure the Signal that I am just running backwards and forwards for simple splats. It doesn't feel fair. But it's good to have this confidence-boosting battle every now and again, and I celebrate with a final Triple Inkstrike. Woomy!
