To complete Qi's Hungry Challenge, we go into Skull Cavern with a bunch of staircases and bombs! This is the third time we complete the quest but it is still quite fun. We don't have to worry about the farm since we just planted all our autumn seeds yesterday!

After grabbing all our mining gear, we go outside to collect some items. Marnie sent us some hay in the mail for being good neighbours! We make sure to pet our ostrich before teleporting off to the Calico Desert, since the ostrich only has 2 hearts of friendship!

Before entering the mines, we chomp down a spicy eel and gulp down a mug of triple shot espresso! Since we want to complete Qi's Hungry Challenge, we will not be able to consume anything inside the mines. For the first few levels, we place staircases to skip them since there appears to be nothing much of interest!

On floor 7, there is a nice cluster of gold ore nodes and a diamond node that we decide to blow up! Down on floor 22, we collect our first prismatic shard of the day from an iridium ore rock. We place all the ores in our hotbar so we can easily keep track of how much we collect!

We find our first treasure chest on floor 44! It contains a nice hat which we keep because we don't know how rare it is. We mine the stones in the treasure room as they have a very high chance of producing a shaft! After using up many staircases to go deeper, we find our second prismatic shard on floor 63!

When we reach floor 85, the buffs from our spicy eel finally expire. With lower movement speed, the Skull Cavern suddenly seems a lot more dangerous! We are unable to run away from enemies or even mega bombs that we placed. Oh well, we should be fine since we are close to level 100 and still have plenty of staircases left!

We get a third prismatic shard on floor 87 and encounter another treasure chest on floor 88! I guess the fortune teller was right about our luck today! We even find a shaft inn the treasure room which goes down to floor 94. There are many iridium and gold nodes, so we take some time to bomb the level!

On floor 98, we get critically low on health as we took damage from a few of our bombs and an iridium bat! We decide to play it safe and focus on killing the bat before taking the stairs down, instead of bombing the entire level for iridium.

Finally at 6 pm, we reach floor 100 to complete Mister Qi's quest! Now, we have accumulated over 300 Qi Gems which we should probably spend soon. Fortunately, we managed to avoid seeing Harvey at his clinic! We quickly munch on some food to regenerate our health.

We continue heading down the Skull Cavern for ores. Without the restriction on food, we are free to place as many bombs as we like without worrying about our health! A shaft spawns on floor 101 but we miss it and take a staircase instead, oops! Floor 102 gives us another treasure chest, which we open to finds a peach sapling!

We find a blue cowboy hat in a treasure chest on floor 135! It is only obtainable from the Skull Cavern apparently. We barely make it to floor 142 before passing out! In total, we mined 346 iridium ore!
