Stardew Valley 136 :: Fairy Roses on the Island Farm
1One good way to make use of all the spare farm tiles on Ginger Island is to plant fairy roses! Fairy roses only require one tile of isolated farmland to allow production of expensive fairy rose honey within a good radius. After yesterday's mining adventure, we store all the loot in our chests! It takes a while to put all the items in the correct locations since we have so many chests. When we are done, we pet our animals to make sure that they are all happy!
We smelt the gold ores that we mined yesterday in the furnaces and craft more crystalariums for the shed. Crystalariums are really quite expensive to craft as they require so much gold and iridium! Nevertheless, we are filling up the shed, slowly but surely.
Outside the crystalarium shed, we notice our corn is done and walk over to harvest them! Then, we place our 16 new crystalariums in the shed and set them to produce jade. We ride our horse over to Pierre's store and stock up on seeds, including fairy rose seeds for Ginger Island! His daughter Abigail shares that she dreamed about our farmer last night.
As soon as we are free, we make the trip to Ginger Island! We call our horse to the island as well to help us out. On the island farm, we pick ripe mangoes and bananas. We also dig up some wild ginger and chop mahogany trees! The slimes are a little annoying but we get rid of them with the Galaxy Hammer.
The first fairy rose seed goes on the slime patch! There used to be a golden walnut within the grass circle, but we have found it already so we can use the tile for a fairy rose. Another goes in the middle of a circle of flowers in the east.
We continue planting fairy roses at several spots across the island farm. We also pick some coral from the beach and speak with Birdie who still lives on the island! In the evening, we take the Parrot Express to the island quarry where we find more bone fragments for Gunther's special order.
At night, we travel back to Stardew Valley as we still have errands to run! Firstly, the gold bars are done smelting so we swap them out for iridium ore. Secondly, the Ancient Fruit in the greenhouse are waiting to be harvested!
It is not yet our bedtime, so we head to the mines to see what we can find in 2 hours. Many strong enemies are waiting for us as the Shrine of Challenge is still activated! However, we do find some useful items which we take back with us to the farm, before falling asleep in our bed.
