We continue to make progress on the road to spawn! Today we extend the dug portion of the road all the way to the custom trees. We have to raise the land a little so that the road is smooth, and we cover up some water as well. Also, we don't want creepers spawning near our trees so we ensure that the lighting of the area is still adequate!

First, we fill up the pond that the road goes over with spruce planks! We continue digging forward on the road and reach yet another small pond. I guess this pond has to go as well! Using dirt, we start to drain out the water of the pond.

We decide not to get rid of the pond completely, instead retaining half the area of the pond that the road does not go over! After sleeping for the night, we fly up to a nearby mountain to visit our captured Enderman! There are some sheep grazing at the top of the mountain as well.

This Enderman was from the 1.5 update where they could still hold Netherrack! Lower down in height, we also have a block of white grass that was the result of the same Enderman picking up a grass block covered by snow and placing it down again. You can no longer see these white blocks in 1.6 so they are extremely rare! I hope the sheep do not touch our grass block!

Anyway, we glide down and continue with the digging of the road. We fly up a few more times to get a good view of the road from above! Since we had displaced several lanterns while removing grass blocks, we install lanterns at the sides of the road to ensure the light levels are still above 7.

The land around the custom trees is quite rugged! However we want our road to be as smooth as possible so we start digging away at the sides of the hills. We continue to make sure that we replace any lanterns picked up in the process! As usual, we place spruce planks on the road to indicate where the slabs will go.

To ensure that the bend in the road is smooth, we fly up a few times to look at it from afar. It looks a little sharp but it is smooth enough to our liking! Continuing uphill, we dig out a one-tile wide section of the road to gauge how the road would affect the terrain.

We realise that the one-tile wide section cuts too deep into the land! There will be a steep slope between the road and one of our custom storage trees if we continue with the same slope gradient. We decide to raise up the road and terrain so it is level with the base of the tree instead!

When raising the land upwards, we try to make the curves smooth so it looks more natural. We use some spruce planks as filler material so we use less dirt in the process! Before ending the episode, we fly up for one last look at the road and terrain. The terrain still looks mostly natural to us which is great!
