Stardew Valley 139 :: Movies with Krobus
51On this fine autumn weekend, we invite our shadow friend Krobus for a spooky movie! He seems quite upset about the depiction of his people, however. We also spend much time and money trying to get rare items in the crane game!
In the morning, we survey the farm and look at which items are ready for harvest! In particular, the kegs of wine are done so we can brew some coffee. Afterwards we head into town to buy tickets! Pam tells us about her old job driving trucks which she misses. Sounds like an interesting job!
At Pierre's, we buy some seeds for the farm and pass him his missing stocklist. Seems like the missing stocklist enables Pierre to sell seeds from every season! We purchase some green bean starters for our indoor garden, which was the only multi-harvest plant we were missing! Well, ancient fruit plants are missing too but we can't plant those in garden pots, unfortunately!
We buy our tickets for Mysterium before wandering around town talking to villagers. Kent tells us that his younger son hates stones! I guess it is not something very fun to play with. We venture into the sewers and give Krobus his ticket! I wonder how he will be travelling to the cinema.
We speak to more villagers around the town. Although our friendship is already at the maximum level with everyone, it is still fun to see what they have to say! Vincent tells us that we are his favourite grown-up! I guess we never gave him any stones, unlike his dad...
Back on the farm, we harvest the eggplants and replant bok choy and amaranth! We brew another round of coffee in the kegs as well. It is evening when we are done, which would also be the perfect time for Krobus to escape the sewers and meet us for a romantic movie!
Okay, it is not really a romantic movie! It looks more like a horror film... We hope Krobus will enjoy it! He shows up in a purple trenchcoat and a matching wide-brimmed hat. We notice the crane game is not in use, so we hurry over to play it!
We try to grab exclusive items like the Mysterium poster, pumpkins and gravestones! We are not very good at the crane game though so it takes a while. In the end, we manage to get some cool snake pillars as well! I notice that you can quit the crane game immediately if you press the Esc key, which comes in helpful when we only get Junimos on the conveyor belt! We still have to pay 500 gold every time though.
After 15 minutes of intense crane game action, we head into the cinema auditorium to watch the film. It's just the two of us alone today, how intimate! Anyway, the film makes no sense at all to us! Krobus enjoys his snack but is a little distressed by how the film portrays his people as terrifying beings. We can't blame him for that though.
We return to the farm to set up the kegs of starfruit wine for the rest of the week. After harvesting jade from the neighbouring shed, it is quite late so we go to bed slightly early. Our furniture chest is now completely full, so we store some of our spoils from the crane game in our stone chest!
