It's the start of a new road segment! We first have to dig out the way for the road however. A small hill which we planted many trees on becomes an obstacle to the road, but it is nothing that a shovel and a pickaxe cannot fix!

After starting the episode in the storage room, we have a slow walk outside, admiring the natural beauty of the mountain biome! We then fly up to the top of a tall spruce tree to chop it down. Spruce planks are useful as filler blocks since they are so easy to craft!

Our first challenge is to get the road over a cave entrance! We take some spruce planks to form a foundation for the road, blocking sky access to the cave. To ensure the cave remains accessible, we expand the cave entrance by making the floor go deeper.

Up next, we have a small netherrack square which we previously used to grow crimson and warped fungi on! We shift the square slightly towards the mountain base so that it does not intersect with the road. The road then comes into contact with a hill which we used to plant dark oak trees and acacia trees on. We start digging away at the side of the hill to flatten it.

We take a break from digging and dive into the underground refugee shelter! There, we meet with our villagers and trade them some miscellaneous items. We also buy some quartz that will be useful when we get to build the surface of the road over the path that we dug!

We fly up to a spruce tree to observe the path of the road. From above, we realise that we will need to level a significant portion of the hill! We glide down and get to work, taking care to avoid the roots of the dark oak trees.

Digging away the top of the hill exposes the stone layer! This hinders our construction a little as we have to use our pickaxe to clear the stone. In the morning, we go over to trade with our villagers again! Once we return to the construction site, we pick up our shovel and start digging. Periodically, we get up to the top of a tree to view the path of the road and ensure that it is smooth!

As we near the storage system's exposed roof, we decide to curve the road away from the hill so it can go over the roof. If not, it looks like the may end up in front of one of our custom trees! The trees hide a bunch of hoppers and barrels to serve as extra storage, and it would be very difficult to relocate for the road.

We go for another trading session with our villagers. Back on the surface, we smoothen the edge of the hill which was beginning to look more like a cliff, and then we end the episode for the day. It's exciting to see the new road cutting across the bumpy landscape of the mountains!
