No time for trading today! We spend the entire episode digging dirt and extending the road towards the storage trees. The construction takes us quite a bit of time when we reach the roof of the storage room and a small pond, as we have to terraform the land around the road as well!

Immediately, we pick up our trusty shovel and start cutting through the land. We try to shift each block of tall grass down as well when we lower the surface, so that the landscape does not look too artificial! We decide to set up a chest and a crafting table near the spot where we are working, as we are running out of inventory space for all the grass and the dirt.

After sleeping for the night, we raise the land on the opposite side of the road so that the edge of the road is not exposed to the outside. Then we decide to extend the quartz road a little to go over the cave entrance! This allows us to get to our storage chest without having to attempt a jump over the gap and failing miserably at it. We could use our Elytra to fly over the gap but I found that the distance was too short for a comfortable flight!

Next, we shift some grass blocks out of our storage chest for white blocks and place them in the new chest that we placed further down the road. We spot a group of pillagers looking for trouble! We fly over to confront them and inadvertently get the Bad Omen effect.

I fly around the area in search of a cow, but there are none at all! We take the risk and head towards the mountain base where we have the iron farm and underground refugee villagers. Fortunately, the cow pen is far away enough not to trigger a raid! We quickly clear our Bad Omen and return to road construction.

Soon, we are forced to shift our storage chest further back as we want to lower the land for the road. When the road reaches a small pond, we grab some spruce planks to fill in the pond! It is a pity as the pond looks quite scenic with a cave entrance right at the edge of the pond.

Oh well! When the Caves and Cliffs terrain generation update releases at the end of the year, I'm sure we will go exploring and find much better landscapes! Hopefully it does not break our Minecraft world too much, with the increased world height and deeper caves!

So far, we have not gained or spent a single emerald today! However, we have spent a good amount of time on the digging of the road, and have also terraformed the land so it looks natural. Next episode, we should fill in the pond entirely so the road can progress further!
