Stardew Valley 140 :: Midnight Fishing
1We pick up our weekly quests today, which includes a quest to fish midnight carp! Past 12 am, we stay at the mountain lake and try to catch as many midnight carps as we can. Seems like this special order for Demetrius is going to be tough to complete!
It is the start of blackberry season! Linus must be thrilled as he does not have to go hungry during this period of time. On the farm, we harvest mushrooms, fruits and corn! We tend to our animals who have wandered outside to bask in the cool autumn weather.
We head to Pierre's to stock up on artichoke and wheat seeds. He tells us that his wife hates salmonberries! Well, most of the town do not like them since they are so abundant in spring. Kent tells us that Pierre sold him a truffle that he foraged himself. What a big fat lie! We get the urge to set up our own shop and destroy Pierre's business out of spite.
This week, there are only special orders put up by Demetrius. Both of them are related to fishing, what a bummer. We pick the quest Aquatic Overpopulation as we have not tried it yet, but it is essentially the same as Biome Balance! Actually, Aquatic Overpopulation is more of a hassle since only one type of fish is counted for the quest!
Lewis spots us rummaging through his garbage, oops! We give him a mug of coffee to ensure he is still friends with us. We return to the farm to harvest the ready crops and animal products. Afterwards, we warp to Ginger Island! Emily, Marnie, Pam, Pierre and Shane are holidaying on the beach today.
The island farm looks alright, save for a few weeds! We gather some tropical fruits before clearing out the island quarry for bone fragments, clay, hardwood and stone. Then we pick up a quest at Mister Qi's walnut room! We are offered Qi's Hungry Challenge and Let's Play A Game yet again, how disappointing... I think that Mister Qi could use some new ideas for Qi Gem quests!
Finally, we do some mining at Stardew Valley until it is just before midnight. We exit the mines and call our horse, making our way to our favourite fishing spot by the mountain lake! We pick some ripe blueberries from the bushes as well.
Due to our dressed spinner, we get a lot of fish bites in the short time we spend fishing! We haul up a total of 3 midnight carp, 7 to go! I'm dying with excitement to fish another 7 more carps. When time is up, we teleport back to the farm and collapse in our farmhouse.
