Super Stardust seems to carry over the smooth Team 17 purple space theme of Project X, to create an instantly playable and addictive asteroids game. I used to play this occasionally back in the day, mainly booting it up for the title music. The legendary tunnels are back, but to me, this didnt feels as approachable as the first game, and I dont know of the 'timeout of death' sequence is also in this game too. I never hung around long enough to find out.
This was recorded in the summer of last year, and it has been moved around around in the order of release quite a bit. After 500 views on Metal Law last week, I figured fans were hungry for a couple of classics to round out the year.
So this week its a 3D shooter (with a space intro!), and next week its the well known Thalion platformer - Lionheart - which I'm sure we all know and love. I like to take a break after 10 shows, and this gives a breather for something new - in this case something special for Christmas.
