Rift Apart is the first Ratchet & Clank adventure made natively for PS5, but it’s far from the first game in the franchise. The Lombax-robot duo has been gracing our PlayStation consoles for nearly two decades, ever since they debuted on PS2 in 2002. Since then, we’ve seen them on PSP with Size Matters, PS3 with the Future series, and PS4 with a reimagining of the first game.

Ratchet & Clank games share a common thread: exceedingly fun weapons. From the first game’s Morph-o-Ray to Rift Apart’s Drillhound, developer Insomniac has always given players enjoyable options for taking down the bad guys.
