This video demonstrates 0 A.D. Alpha 12 gameplay on Highest settings as possible at around 1650x1050 on Ubuntu 12.10 64Bit.

I start out the video in fullscreen mode with all the flicker, because it's the only way I can enable fps in the top left corner. After 0:45 I make it into windowed-mode and at all times I have the frames per second at the top left corner. It's recommended you watch this in at least 720p to see it.

Some things to take note of while watching this video is that I try to enable all water effects after discovering the lake near my base, and see how it affects my fps. I also notice whenever the A.I. units clash in battle with my units, the fps can drop considerably. Near the end it drops even as low as 5 for several minutes!

Note: The game audio is often out of sync with the game video itself. I did my best to rectify this, by manually cutting and changing the sound's position in Kdenlive.

To force the game into windowed-mode, hit Alt+Enter.
To enable fps in the top left corner, hit Alt+ F while in fullscreen mode.
This game is also available in the Ubuntu repositories (just slightly outdated).
