Guns Of Icarus Online Gameplay on Ubuntu 12.10 Linux (Native)
This video demonstrates Guns of Icarus Online gameplay natively on Full settings at 1920x1080 (fullscreen) on Ubuntu 12.10 64Bit.
Guns of Icarus Online was released earlier today for Steam Linux gamers! It's on sale now too, so get it while it's hot! (and cheap lol)
So, in this gameplay I try both a Quick Match (online) and a Practice Match (solo). Guns of Icarus is an online co-op Pvp, meaning you work together with a group of people to take down other's ships.
Performance is rock solid, Guns Of Icarus is really good looking in the graphics department. My only issue with it at the moment, is the long initial loading time when first starting up the game.
I had to disable "Unredirect Fullscreen" in Compiz Config Settings Manager to record this game, otherwise the recording would flicker. Oddly enough, I didn't see any performance loss with it on or off. Then again, I have no way to show actual framerate.
Guns of Icarus is a new game made in the Unity game engine, and it is now finally available to Linux Steam gamers! The game is online multiplayer (co-op PvP to be precise).
