This video demonstrates The Cave gameplay natively on Full settings at 1920x1080 (fullscreen) on Ubuntu 12.10 64Bit.

The Cave was released earlier today for Steam Linux gamers (finally, after waiting a month since the game's original release). The Cave is still rather buggy. It crashes a lot, both my 360 controller and my Logitech Rumblepad 2 controller do not work with it. Sometimes the game will start with no sound, other times it will lose sound while in-game.

I play The Cave in this video up to the Dynamite and Guitar on the skeletons. Basically, this video covers the introductory stage. So, don't worry about it spoiling the story, since it's only the first level in the game.

I wish I could show you the framerates, but The Cave has no way of doing this. Performance, from a graphical point-of-view, is good. On my side, I did not see any tearing, flicker or peculiar oddities (although in this video you will see such things, due to the framerate of my screen recorder not matching up with the game's framerate).

The Cave is a new game, and it is now finally available to Linux Steam gamers! The game is singleplayer. THERE IS NO ONLINE CO-OP. LAN co-op in this game means one computer only. Two people play from one computer. That is it. You can't host this game, and others cannot join you.

Sadly, The Cave is not on sale. I purchased the game full price, but was severely let down when discovering I couldn't play with my friend.
