Torchlight Performance Test on Ubuntu 12.10 (Native)
This video demonstrates Torchlight one performance on Highest settings as possible at 1920x1080p on Ubuntu 12.10 64Bit.
I make use of the in-game console to buff my character and give him the ability to run very fast and spam skills non-stop, in hopes of pushing this Torchlight 1 Linux port's latest update to the limits.
Some things to take note of while watching this video is that I'm recording the game with Vokoscreen and Sound Recorder, so this may have some sort of hit on the game's performance in terms of frames per second.
Back when Torchlight was first ported, we were unable to play in fullscreen. This is no longer the case. The game works great in fullscreen, which is awesome.
Note: The game audio is often out of sync with the game video itself. I did my best to rectify this, by manually cutting and changing the sound's position in Kdenlive.
To enable the in-game console, I first had to go to Home/.runicgames/Torchlight and edit the settings.txt. Change CONSOLE: 0 to CONSOLE: 1.
To enable fps in the top left corner, type FPS in the console and hit Enter.
This game is available in the Ubuntu Software Center for purchase.
It was initially released in the Indie Humble Bundle.
