Shank 2 Gameplay on Ubuntu 12.10 (Native)
7This video demonstrates Shank 2 gameplay natively on Full settings at 1920x1080 (fullscreen) on Ubuntu 12.10 64Bit.
I play Shank 2 in this video up to the first boss. Basically, this video covers the introductory stage. So, don't worry about it spoiling the story, since it's only the first mission in the campaign (Boss is Razor).
I wish I could show you the framerates, but Shank 2 has no way of doing this. I played the entire gameplay (except the menus) using an Xbox 360 Wired controller, and it works well. Only downside is the weird preset controls the developers decided to use.
Shank 2 is not a new game, but it is finally available to Linux Steam gamers! The game is singleplayer for campaign, but does have Co-Op in a Survival Mode for two.
In Steam's store, the game still shows as only Windows right now but hopefully in the coming days they will post it as a Linux game. It's already in my Library and working, so nothing gameplay/performance wise is holding it up.
