21Hey friends! Today we finally finish up our adventure through Wind Fish's bits and bobs!
Our first level today is short but fun, although nothing particularly special to be honest. It's just a good 'ole fashion platformer. My favourite part about it is probably the colour palette, hahah. After that, we have a short interlude where I'm unnecessarily critical towards autoscrollers for more than half of it, and then it's over. Again, not really anything to start a journal log about, but still fun enough to play.
The real superstar of this episode is our third and final level, featuring a part of Super Mario Bros 3 that I've never seen in a ROM hack before -- the Mario 3 arrow ghosty platformy things that they loved to use in the wraparound pipe levels! What a great object that is... you can do so much with it, and Wind Fish shows off quite a few cool setups. I particularly like the parts where the platforms push you upwards into spikes, making you have to short jump and move fast. I'm gonna have to see if that's on the SMWCentral custom sprites page sometime, that object is just really inspiring for me, and with all this time recently I've been spending locked inside I've wanted to get back into level making a little more... although most of my time is going towards I Wanna Maker recently, haha.

This is The Junkbox. It features my contest entries that would never see the light of day after the contests had ended. Most of the levels didn't do well, but I feel they make okayish levels for a playable hack. I hope somebody out there enjoys them anyway. If not, well... I tried.
- A new eventless flat OW - We all know that the Earth is flat. Why would I even try to deny it? The OW being eventless was inspired from VLDCs & Notte Luminosa.
- Small fixes to existing levels - These were contest levels. It's hard to change things without going too far off the deep end. So the likelihood is levels you thought sucked in the previous version still suck, since the level design hasn't really been changed at all.
- Save prompts - You no longer have to beat the whole thing in one go. You can actually take a break.
- New level - Yup, that's what gave me an excuse to even update this thing.

Squiggy's ROM Hack Romp is a series on Super Mario World ROM Hacks. In this series, I will play through SMW ROM Hacks that are submitted to me and that I pull off smwcentral.net. I'll always play the submitted ones first though! Ideally, I will use no save states and do full commentary playthroughs.
I am also happy to accept ROM hacks for any other game, or even a game you programmed or somehow created outside of the ROM hacking world.
