đăThe Yoshi Egg: A Mission In Miniature by NoivernăăSquiggy's ROM Hack Rompă(Super Mario World Hack)
Originality.
Is there anything original in life? Can any of us do something truly new or unique? Is it even possible to purely create from nothing anymore?
I'd posit that it isn't. Everything we do is shaped by what we've experienced up until that point. Whether we like it or not, we are standing on the shoulders of giants and they have paved the way through our thought process. Everything is a copy of a replica of a portrait of a reproduction of a duplicate of a recreation of an imitation of a facsimile of a likeness of a clone.
I recorded this episode a long time ago. It's one of the ones from the vault that I like to put out when I think I'm gonna miss an upload day because I didn't have a chance to record this week, or because I've taken the first two months of a year off and don't have anything recorded yet. This episode in particular was recorded FOREVER ago -- literal years from today.
Through that time, I had a truly original idea! What luck! I was going to make a Super Mario World ROM hack unlike anything the world has ever seen. It would be a Metroidvania that only featured one level, and a series of miniature challenges to progress further in that level. Each time you hit a switch or unlocked a new powerup, something new in that level would be available for exploration and you'd be able to get just a bit further than you did last time.
I'm a hack, a charlatan, a fraud and a thief. I steal from those greater than me and protect my ego by suppressing memories of the origin. I've done it before and I'll do it again. I once wrote a short MIDI song only to realize once I'd finished that it was mostly just the Mortal Kombat theme. I set it up as the outro music to this video in case you want to hear.
It's easy to borrow from others without even realizing it, but it's not necessarily terrible if you can use those tools to create something of your own that may have it's own value outside the concepts you borrowed. It just might be tough coming to terms with the fact that you are mostly a derivative mess of half-forgotten stolen concepts from a lifetime of intake. Thanks for stopping by for another existential crisis, hope you're all having a fantastic day and I hope we can talk soon!

Description:
Iggy has stolen a Yoshi egg and is on the run! Stop him in this short hack.
This hack should only take you about 10-20 minutes to play through and is full of vanilla goodness.
KNOWN BUG: When you hit a switch palace switch, yellow blocks come out on the overworld. I know it is there, but I don't know how to fix it.
---[ Squiggy's ROM Hack Romp Series Information ]---------------
Squiggy's ROM Hack Romp is a series on Super Mario World ROM Hacks. In this series, I will play through SMW ROM Hacks that are submitted to me and that I pull off smwcentral.net. I'll always play the submitted ones first though! Ideally, I will use no save states and do full commentary playthroughs.
I am also happy to accept ROM hacks for any other game, or even a game you programmed or somehow created outside of the ROM hacking world. Basically I love amateur user-created gameplay of any type, and even if it isn't a ROM Hack Romp contender, I'd be happy to play anything you've made and put it in another series!
If you are a ROM hacker or enthusiast, let me know if there's anything you'd like me to play. Whether it be one you made yourself or one you'd just like to see, leave me a comment below or send it over to SendMeYourHacks@gmail.com and I'll be sure to get back to you. Thanks for watching friends!
