✒️【Sick】〖Mega Man Maker Crossword Challenge〗(Themed Mega Man Maker Custom Levels With Commentary)
A brand new series for a brand new year! Welcome friends to Mega Man Maker: Crossword Challenge!
This series is a little bit weird, but I think it could work, hahah. The basic concept is to choose a word and play the first 10 levels for that word in Mega Man Maker and see how many we can complete. But the part I'm most excited for is this -- the next word will be whatever comment is most upvoted by the time I go to record the next video, so let me know your words down in the comments friend!
So, speaking of words -- dust. What a word. Dust is an invasive material -- a collection of "fine, dry powder consisting of tiny particles of earth or waste matter lying on the ground or on surfaces or carried in the air." But, dust is also an action -- to "remove the dust from the surface of (something) by wiping or brushing it."
Now, the issue I have with this is that the act of removing dust is the same word as the thing being removed. I know that's kind of a dumb thing to think about, but that's just how I like to spend my free time, haha. You wouldn't do that for anything else -- if I spilled jelly everywhere I wouldn't "jelly" the carpet to remove the jelly. If I got jelly stains on a pair of pants while cleaning it up I wouldn't "stain" them to get it out. It just seems like the exact opposite of what the verb for the action should be.
Is that the only word that works like this? Where the word for the invasive mess you're attempting to clean is also the word for removing it? Language is crazy -- it's just a bunch of disconnected people deciding some set of mouth shapes or hand scribbles will represent something. How the hell did that come about? It's absolutely insane to think of creating something like that from scratch. And not only did someone create it from scratch -- a thousand different cultures all created their own version of it from scratch! What?? Most of life and reality is literally insane and nearly impossible.
A million billion different organisms existed before you and somehow competed for life until we end up in a world where my driveway in the US is connected to the driveway of someone in South America by a single strip of asphalt and we can blow air through our mouth shapes to represent the abstract concept of dust and removing dust with the same world that's interpreted only by the context of other weird mouth sounds around it. I'm real tired and I'm not sure if any of this is making sense so sorry if I'm rambling here, I've gotten into this late-night habit of filling out descriptions the day before a video goes live so I don't have to rush it in the morning and it just turns into rants about nothing most of the time. I can't help it, all I want to talk about is dust. Oh well, such is life.
Anyways, we really should get back to this series. It's the first Mega Man Maker Crossword Challenge episode ever and I haven't even really talked about the series yet. I think it could be a fun one! I've gotten comments about how short the other videos are, but I don't think I want to change that up when it comes to the player submissions. I really like to give each Mega Man Maker level it's own video when it comes to viewer-submitted levels. When there starts to be three or four viewer submitted levels in an episode it can be easy to miss the one you're in, and I just think it makes the video a little more special to the person that sent it in to have it stand alone and be only your work. Plus, the shorter Mega Man Maker levels in the original Mega Maker Showcase series give me a chance to record things on days where I only have 15 or 20 minutes to fit a recording in, which is a nice alternative to some of the longer series we have going on other topics.
So, that being said, this will be my first attempt at a longer-form Mega Man Maker series. If this ends up popular I'll probably try to post a Crossword Challenge episode every few months or so. I don't want them to be too common because they don't include player submissions and I'd like to keep the focus on that, but a little variance should be nice!
Anyways, here goes nothing -- I hope you enjoy the new series and thanks for stopping by my friends!

---[ Series Information ]---------------
Mega Man Maker is a game engine where you can create custom Mega Man levels and share them in a Mario Maker like fashion, and Mega Man Maker: Crossword Challenge is a series where I play Mega Man Maker levels that are themed around a single word. The goal is to beat as many of those levels as possible within the life limits I've set myself (currently three per level). Feel free to submit a word in the comments if you'd like to see it played, or upvote the other submissions -- whichever is the highest upvoted on this video by the time I make the next one will be the next word!
You can see the rest of the playlist for this series here: (Don't forget to add this Squiggs, we both know you're awful at this stuff)
