đžăSnow White: Happily Ever AfterăăSquiggy's SNES First Level Questă(Only Level One Every SNES Game)
Hey friends! Today we explore what may be the least accurate representation of Snow White I have ever seen, completing that famous quest from the movie where she climbs a beanstalk and stomps on a bunch of caterpillars. You all remember that classic movie, right?
To quote the greats, what were they thinking? That sprite better not be Snow White... they didn't get any single part of it right! Her dress is such a distinct part of the look, it's got that whole Victorian style crazy puffy armband thing on, and it's REALLY YELLOW for most of it. About the only thing they got right was her hair color, and I can only assume that was just a lucky guess by someone that's never seen her hair because it stops directly at the colour... they only had two choices with this type of resolution and it was short or long and they totally blew it. And where's the red bow?
And then there's the setting... where are we? What part of Snow White takes place on Jack's beanstalk? I'll give them a little more leeway with that one than the main character sprite, but I still thing the caterpillars bring the entire thing closer to Alice in Wonderland than it ever was to Snow White.
It is astonishing how entirely wrong all of that is. I can only assume this has nothing to do with the original movie somehow, or someone got the license to the name and not the character or something dumb like that. What a bizarre experience overall, and honestly it wasn't the most impressive game I've played on this series. I was kind of expecting a little more Disney charm like I've gotten to know with some other classics in the series, but this one just didn't really have that same effect on me. Oh well, you can't win them all.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by friends! If you have any suggestions for what to play in this series be sure to shout them out in the comments, I mostly get to pick this one at random depending on what I'm feeling that day but I wouldn't mind checking out some recommendations every once in a while too. If you guys don't tell me, how will I get to play gems like Bebe's Kids without going through this whole series to find them? Hope you're having a wonderful day out there friends, catch you again soon!

PS: Well, the Wikipedia I just checked out confirms that this has nothing to do with Disney, hahah. I really should read those first before writing descriptions, but whatever. This has always been a fly-by-night operation anyways.

Snow White: Happily Ever After (also known as Happily Ever After in the 1991 version) is a North America-exclusive video game that was released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was targeted for female video game players. It is based on the 1990 animated Filmation movie Happily Ever After, and not the 1937 Disney film.
Most of the film's main cast reprised their roles in the game, with the exceptions of Irene Cara, Malcolm McDowell, and Tracey Ullman, who were replaced by Jodi Benson, Enn Reitel, Mary Kay Bergman and Jeannie Elias as Snow White, Lord Maliss, Moonbeam and Thunderella, respectively.

Squiggy's SNES First Level Quest is a series where I attempt to beat the first level of every SNES game. Some will be chosen randomly, some chosen because I liked them when I was younger, and some chosen by viewer request. This isn't necessarily a review or first impression or anything - the only true goal is to first define "What is Level 1 in this game?" and then beat it.
