REVIEW:
-It's pretty obvious why this one often finds itself on so many hidden gem lists, given how attractive the game is on the eye. Where looks impress, gameplay also delivers a very palettelable experience, through creative stage design, slick control and a very relaxed level of difficulty that will deter few.

Its really no injustice to label this an easy game. Aside from only offering one difficulty setting, the combination of an infinite number of extra lives easily obtained thanks to items respawning whenever you re-enter an area (as well as through the equally easy acquisition of 100 diamonds), offering passwords (that even keep live count), for a game that's frankly short enough to comfortably finish before breakfast, is surprising! Despite this generosity, gameplay is only occasionally boardering on difficult and few bosses present any resemblance of challenge.

Thankfully the inclusion of wall cling/climb and a host of magical powers breathes a nice injection of fun into the gameplay, which is only complimented by the creative & varied stage designs.

Bosses are a bit of a disappointment however, with few registing any challenge what's so ever once a basic pattern has emerged. I did enjoy the creativeness of the revolving wall boss though.

Were passwords not a feature and extra lives not easier to catch than Covid-19 at a squat rave, then this would have been a very different review. Alas, for those that cant get enough of my suffering, I'm sorry to report that this was quite possibly the easiest game I've yet beat on the Snes.

Though I wouldn't normally hold a games ease to its detriment, in this case I generally feel gameplay would have felt so much rewarding with considerably more challenge behind it. I still enjoyed the playthrough enough to recommended this to fellow fans of platform shooting/beat em ups. What it does well, it does very well!
You can certainly do alot worse!
