With his sword and hidden blade in hand, Altaïr rides for Damascus, evading soldiers as he traverses the Kingdom. Soon he would reach Damascus, infiltrating the large city by blending among the scholars. Historically speaking, Damascus is the capital city of Syria and is considered one of the oldest cities where people still live. It's believed to have been established around 3,000 BCE. The city is split into three districts that determine the class of each citizen.

Regardless, Altaïr enters the Assassin Bureau where he meets Rafik, who would deny him the right to assassinate his target until he gathers the necessary information. First, he runs across rooftops to reach an informant about Tamir. Then he pickpockets a letter in regards to a shipment being prepared. With these two pieces of information, Altaïr returns back to Rafik, who would now allow him to assassinate Tamir.

Reaching a market, Altaïr finds Tamir, discussing... or rather arguing with one of his suppliers about delivering resources. But this argument turns into a bloodbath as Tamir stabs the supplier, leaving his body to bleed in a fountain. Distracted by his anger, Altaïr takes advantage and assassinates his first target. One down, eight more to go. But even in death, Tamir believes himself to be performing a noble cause, and that everyone will know of his deed.

Evading the soldiers, Altaïr would deliver the confirmed kill to Rafik, as the second memory comes to a close. Warren leaves the room for Desmond to rest, while Lucy spends her time writing down her notes. Desmond takes the chance to ask for more details about Abstergo and the Animus from Lucy, although she points him to the computer instead.

For now, Desmond rests up for the next day. Although you'd think that he gets something to eat every now and then, right?
